About Our Practice
We are an attachment and trauma-trained mental health facility dedicated to helping adults, children, teens, and families heal, grow, and reconnect. Our approach is grounded in the understanding that relationships are the foundation of emotional well-being, and that trauma, whether big or small, shapes how we experience the world and ourselves.
Our Approach
We integrate cutting-edge, science-backed therapeutic interventions designed to support healing at the root, where attachment and trauma intersect. Our team is highly trained in evidence-based, body and brain-informed methods that help clients move beyond symptom management toward lasting change and resilience. We draw from approaches such as:
Attachment-Based Therapy
to foster safety, connection, and healthy relational patterns.
EMDR
(Eye Movement Desenitization & Reprocessing) to help reprocess and release trauma.
Somatic and body-based techniques
to integrate the body’s wisdom into the healing process.
Neuroscience-informed tools
to support regulation, resilience, and growth.
Family and systems work
to strengthen connections and repair relationships.
Who We Serve
We provide compassionate, specialized care for:
- Adults navigating trauma recovery, relationship challenges, anxiety, depression, and life transitions.
- Teens and children struggling with emotional regulation, behavioral issues, or attachment disruptions.
- Families seeking support to heal together, improve communication, and build stronger bonds.
Our Philosophy
We believe that healing happens in connection, not isolation. Our therapists meet each client with curiosity, compassion and respect; creating a welcoming, safe space for healing. Whether you’re working through trauma, rebuilding trust, or learning to regulate your emotions, we walk alongside you with warmth and expertise.
Mission
Through a collaborative approach between therapists and individuals; we identify and navigate impactful life events grounded in compassion, curiosity, and collaboration. Our commitment is to create a secure space and an invitation to heal.

We believe collaboration with parents is essential for whole family healing.
Parents are a vital part of treatment for children and adolescents who are suffering. The Cord believes that parents’ therapeutic presence and participation in sessions provides the deep, emotional connection children and adolescents need for healing.
